Harold Kerzner, PhD
(Project Integration,
Quality Management, Communications Management)
Kerzner starts the
book off by giving a brief history of project management and how far
it has come through the years. Then, he details what is necessary for
a company to be successful and to reach maturity and excellence in
project management. He does so by using examples of companies he
considers to be top performers in the field. He shares the problems
these companies encountered while trying to implement project
management and how they overcame them. The book is written in
textbook format but not too technical. At the end of each chapter
there are multiple choice questions, questions for discussion and a
crossword puzzle. There are 26 case studies at the end of the book
that provide further insight on implementation.
