PMP Preparation Courses

The Basics of Project Management (14 PDUS)

This workshop assists students in preparing for the PMP certification examination by assessing five of the nine knowledge areas of the PMBOK® (the Project Management Body of Knowledge.) The course covers introductions to project initiation, project planning, work breakdown structures, decomposition, estimation, costing, scheduling, procurement, execution, and closure.  The course provides progressive exercises that build on one another as each knowledge area is explored.

 

This class runs on two consecutive Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Advanced Project Management (14 PDUs)

This workshop assists students in preparing for the PMP certification examination by providing a deeper dive into all concepts of project management as described in the knowledge areas of the PMBOK® (the Project Management Body of Knowledge.) The course covers team building, control planning, risk management, and project variance and examines project initiation, executing, controlling, and closure as they relate to advanced studies.  Exercises are designed to challenge students in the utilization of these knowledge areas. Bring a basic calculator to class both days.

  

This class runs on two consecutive Saturdays, from 8am-4pm.

PMP Exam Preparation (10 PDUs)

This course is designed to prepare students for taking the PMP exam by answering questions related to common exam day anxieties such as location, conditions, expectations, and specifics regarding the exam itself (length, type of questions, etc.) Terminology will be reviewed and several mini-exams will be administered and reviewed with explanations. The course culminates with a timed 200-question paper exam that simulates exam day. Bring paper, pencils, and a basic calculator to class both days.

 

This class runs on two consecutive Saturdays, from 8am-1pm.
